No, no.

Monk A was AFK dancing in THK Mission Area. Not the actual mission. Just, you know, the area. Monk B starts dancing with Monk A--and then Monk B insults a warrior. Hilarity ensues.

how odd....u'll definitely get more items that way but they can never compare to actual players but there are some upsides

1. They never talk back
2. They dont quit cause things arent going very well
3. Well they are in some cases smarter....ok well most cases
4. No noob rushing and they all attack the same target

Disadvantages
1. They dont talk back.....(it gets so lonely out there)
2. .....ok im out of disadvantages...

Pretty soon these monks around here are gonna be quite costly.

LOL! Yeah..I had heard rumors about it earlier this morning while I was at Piken square on ym necro..and then I heard it later on after arriving in Lion's Arch O_x SO I was like, wtf..lol..Had to check it out..Jump on my Ranger..district one is full, so I go to two, even that is full of monks, and I finally got in district one..crazy stuff lol, monks all over lol..like a monk fest, deffinately good for a laugh though lol, here's a piccy XD. Thunderhead keep monk strike ftl! lol..*mutters* wish I had a monk to join in with..lol.

oh well it happend to me before a few times while in mission and im sure i wasnt the only one

oh and one of them is actually there striking.. i've seen him of course ill be nice enough to not say his name cuz you know HE IS trying to get the respect he deserve

Which is why every single monk ive teamed with has always used Essence Bond on the tanks.

Oh there is a reason why you are doing this, but it isnt going to accomplish anything, you demand respect, but you must realize that in doing this, and spamming constantly about the strike that people arent going to respect you, they will find you annoying, and then just say F this...and take the henchie monks. This strike really is nothing more than something to waste time in my opinion.

And to note, i have never had a problem with a monk in any one of my missions where i have had a human player helping me, and i am a warrior...and no i dont agro things, i figure at level 20, i dont need experience, so i avoid what i can...this whole thing like i said above is a waste of time, and will not last long

u do get alot of bad monks as well, ones that use wrong spells for certain situations which burns up their energy more than an aggro'n warrior would. i play w/mo and a n/me, i used to have a monk but got bored of it as its always healing which doesnt interest me.

but, at the same time this is pretty funny.

Yeah the monk strike is the dumbest thing I've heard of. Monks are ALWAYS on strike, their so stuck up you have to be a perfect group to et them, unless their new, or the merciful few that realize they aren't almighty.

Yes I have played a monk, and I wasn't good at it, and I didn't like the pressure, so you know what I did? I didn't keep playing it and whine about not getting "respect". I deleted the character and saved myself and others the grief.

If monks want respect they should stop being elitist snobs. Dying sucks for everyone, not just you. Being in a bad group sucks for everyone not just you. Everyone gets disrespected evenly over time.

i have seen E\mo doing a great job has healer before. At least they are being helpful and showin some team work unlike others... i dont think i need to call them out.

LOL I find this whole thing utterly hillarious. Fact is monks do get crapped on and so do other classes. I've played a monk since first beta preview and its not changed much since then. Last night I saw a monk who had 2 healing skills (orision and heal area) no rez and I watched as my ranger put out as much dps and degen on a tundra giant as I possibly could while the monk stood there watching the ele that was getting wailed on die. Didn;t cast one spell no protections no nothing. Best part my ranger with the res signet was the only one in the mission out of the 2 monks 1 mez 2 wars 2 rangers 1 necro and 1 ele that could rez :/ I also watched as the W/R that was squishier than the ele repeatedly charged into battle only to die immidately (5 hits maybe) I realize that the monk Im referring to probably was a prot monk however on an 8 man team if you;re prot for the love of all things holy prot both the wars not just your guildmate. All of these problems can be allieviated however by making a friends list and joining a guild. Sad to say but the day of the PUG died along about the 3rd day after launch.

Monks apply to just about everything you just said about warriors as well. They get ugly. They curse people out. They can be the most stuck-up asshole you think you have ever met. They do NOT deserve any more respect than anyone else, though. There's a shortage of monks you say? Make one.

I've been a monk for a pretty long time, and we aren't treated all that bad, people are overreacting..
Also for all the people here bashing warriors: Not all warriors are Wammo's with mending and healing hands, some of them actually know what they're doing and they can be really usefull.

Yes, they are far too common.
No, they are not unavoidable.

Sadly, they are very much everywhere in PvE, hence why I stopped playing monk in PvE.
My monk still hasn't made it past THK because idiots keep aggroing everything, the trappers and nukers forget what they're doing and blame everything on the warriors, and the mesmers and monks try to keep order because they're pretty much the only competent classes on a whole.
Not saying other classes are idiot-sticks, just that generally only good players get their monks and mesmers to THK.

I'm gonna go watch the strike now, this sounds hilarious.
